Welcome to Coe Creek! The farm here has been in our family since 1873, when Lars and Benedicta Augustinessen settled on the homestead a year after coming from Sweden and Denmark. In the 1880s, Lars Erickson married Cornelia, the younger daughter of the Augustinessens, and there have been Ericksons on the home place ever since.

This is a diversified livestock farm that we run without the use of chemical fertilizers, pesticides or herbicides. We are not organically certified, but we follow organic principles in our use of the land, and we aim for sustainability. This involves careful husbanding of energy resources, land, and water. We utilize rotational grazing and "mobbing" and allow the pasture lands to recover before grazing them again.

Many of our neighbors are also our Erickson relatives, and the close-knit community helps us pursue our aim of doing the best we can for this family farm.
